The competitions organized by the South West District have two main objectives: to create links with the youth by highlighting the culture and enhancing the dynamics of the Lions Clubs.
Environmental Poster Competition
This year, the theme of the contest Posters of the Environment «Where there is water, there is life» aroused the interest of students and teachers. Gathered in Arcachon, during the Spring Congress, the jury will have to choose between thirty posters exhibited.
Speech contest
Twelve candidates for the Eloquence Competition will present their reflections based on the sentence of the writer Bernard Clavel: «Who has never kneaded and baked does not know what bread costs». They will have to convince a jury of professionals, Saturday, April 6 at the Palais des Congrès from 13:30.
Music prize
The Thomas Kuti Music Prize, this year the clarinet, will take place on Friday, March 29 at the Conservatoire National de Région de Bordeaux at 2 pm. The winner will perform at the congress.
Youth trophy
Finally, the Youth Trophy, the first edition specific to the District, will reward a club for its operation in favor of young people under 25.
