Alphonse: from the YEC “Sounds of Music” camp in Austria to the stage of The Voice 2024!
Alphonse, the winner of The Voice 2024 in France, moved the audience with his captivating voice and stage presence. This talented singer from Dijon, barely 18 years old, was influenced by soul, funk and disco music, but also songs with lyrics. An unconditional fan of Michaël Jackson in his childhood, he then developed a passion for jazz while affirming his taste for French-speaking songs, the legendary titles of which he now enjoys performing. His references are “the 3 S’s” as he calls them: Sinatra, Sardou, Sanson, but he also has great admiration for Charles Aznavour as well as several singers from Quebec.
Throughout the competition, Alphonse demonstrated remarkable vocal mastery, moving with ease from a poignant ballad to a dynamic pop song. His unique tone and ability to convey powerful emotions have made him an undisputed favorite.
In 2023, Alphonse was sponsored by the Lions Club Dijon Argo District 103 CE to participate in the Lions Club International Youth Camps & Exchange (YEC) program. This experience led him as French ambassador to Austria, to the YEC “Sounds of Music” camp. He impressed with his kindness, his altruism and of course his covers of international titles, alone or in a duo. Beyond the pleasure of being welcomed by two Austrian families that he describes as brilliant, this camp stay remains just as unforgettable. It allowed him to weave a network of international friendship.
