our action for VPA supported by Patti Hill

This year, the French Leos wanted to support Vacances Plein Air (VPA) association through a concrete service action, collection of hygiene products!
During the visit of our International President Patti Hill’s, in April, the Board of Governors challenged us to organize a Leo action to show Patti our commitment!
We took advantage of this request to accomplish one of our projects for the year, supporting VPA Gironde! With the Leo Club of Paris Center, we organized a collect of hygiene products. This is a type of service action that we are used to organize, which is always very succesful, and which is above all, always necessary!
Throughout the day of April 6, we remained present to collect donations from store customers, always very generous and particularly touched by the VPA holiday center project, for children from 6 to 12, from needy families!
At the end of the afternoon, we were lucky enough to receive a visit from Patti and Greg, accompanied by Philip (French CC) and Stéphanie. They talked with us at length, took a few photos and Patti even posted a live video on her Facebook page! (Have you already seen it?). Obviously, Patti and Greg themselves participated in the collection by completing the basket of things we needed.
Thanks to this collect, we will be able to drop off more than 160 toothbrushes, more than 100 shower gels, toothpaste, hairbrushes and body creams at the end of June!
We can’t wait to see the outcome of this national project carried out by French Leos to support a 100% Lions action!
